Shopify just released an important update this summer with their new Shopify theme Dawn. The new theme is important because it's now Shopify's default reference theme built for easy navigation and focused on a mobile-first experience. This is super important considering 3 out of 4 users say they buy stuff on their mobile phones because it saves time.

It's important for anyone coming onboard to Shopify to already be set up for success through mobile commerce. It's estimated that by 2024, mobile commerce will hit $488 billion in sales, or 44% of all e-commerce transactions, nearly almost half. Absolutely wild. 🤯

According to Shopify, "Dawn is Shopify's reference theme, built for performance, flexibility, and ease of use. It uses Online Store 2.0 - features, including JSON templates, which support app blocks and sections on all pages."

As Dawn becomes the default theme for development stores, it's perfect for anyone wanting to test out apps, different themes, or creating a Shopify account for a client. "Any development stores created after June 29, 2021, use Dawn as their default theme."

Does this affect my Because banner?

Nope! Not at all. Since Because doesn't actually rely on the Theme format files, you shouldn't notice any changes with your Banner!
