Because we believe we cannot solve many of our social and environmental issues with government and NGO support alone. This was the personal mission of our CEO from the day she started Because. After years in Marketing and Sales, she felt the modern approach to Marketing was broken, especially for reaching a younger consumer base like herself. So, she set out to talk to any brand she could find that gave back to see if those efforts were helping drive more human relationships.
After conversations with Global CSR Directors & Brand Marketing Directors from 50+ household consumer brands, she was shocked to learn that 78% of them are struggling to share their "do-good" stories with their consumers. And 82% are struggling to prove the customer ROI of their work. But knowing that 74% of Millennials are more likely to pay attention to a cause related message, and 90% of consumers would prefer to buy from socially responsible brands, we knew it was time to help brands better connect with their consumers through cause marketing.
